Open an Account (it’s free!) |
| Step 2: |
Make an offer to the candidate that you’ve decided to hire, which includes employment on a trial basis through LegalBriefs. |
| Step 3: |
Go to the Employers page and click Add Employee. |
| Step 4: |
LegalBriefs will contact the new hire and conduct a New Employee Orientation where we fully explain the trial hiring process and complete new hire payroll, benefits and compliance paperwork (W-4, I-9, direct deposit, benefit enrollment, etc.). |
| Step 5: |
The new hire reports to work. You have complete control over the new hire’s hours, work location, daily functions, etc. (the same as you would for any regular employee). Each week the new hire will submit a time card for your approval. |
| Step 6: |
After a period of time (the trial period), which can vary from several weeks to several months (that’s totally up to you), you decide to either hire (convert) or terminate the employee. |
| Step 7: |
Go to the Employers page and click Convert Employee or Terminate Employee. |
